ARCHITECTURES OF THE COSMOS · TEN CHAPTERS

Contents

Ten structures, ten ways of looking outward. An armillary, crystal stair, copper pavilion, branching tower, cliff citadel, frost vault, bridge, fan, monolith and amphitheatre give human-scale reference points to unfamiliar skies. Each plate is paired with the astronomy behind its setting and a clearly identified architectural fiction.

Science and imagination

The planetary settings come from the saved NASA catalog. All architecture, moons and local landscapes are imagined; no alien construction or civilization is claimed. Physical explanations and catalog measurements are distinguished from illustrative sky phenomena. The corrected Kepler-442 b plate constrains its star’s apparent size; other interpretive limitations remain visible in their individual notes.
